Tsukuyomi

Tsukuyomi is a manga anthology that explores Japanese mythology and the supernatural through a collection of distinct stories, including Ame no Nuboko, Konohana no Sakuyahime, Hiruko, Heminohire, Tsukuyomi, and Undine. The narrative centerpiece follows a young university student who forms an unexpected bond with a boy who happens to be her distant relative. Initially captivated by his striking and ethereal beauty, she welcomes him into her life without hesitation. However, as their connection deepens, she begins to notice unsettling anomalies occurring in her surroundings. The strange phenomena slowly unravel the ordinary facade of her daily routine, forcing her to confront the eerie reality hidden behind the boy's enchanting appearance. Complementing this modern supernatural tale is a dedicated exploration of ancient lore, specifically recounting the legendary history of Susanoo and Amaterasu, two of the most revered deities in Japanese mythology. Together, these interconnected narratives weave a rich tapestry that bridges contemporary mystery with timeless divine folklore, offering readers a compelling journey through both human vulnerability and mythic grandeur.
