Read or Die

In the heart of Odaiba, Tokyo, a towering skyscraper stands completely devoid of human life, serving as the clandestine backdrop for a high-stakes exchange. Woo has traveled all the way from Hong Kong to deliver an exceptionally rare volume known as "The Black Book of Fairy Tales." Awaiting him is his counterpart, a blond Englishman who has not arrived alone. Standing beside the Englishman is a young Eurasian woman wearing glasses, whom he formally introduces as his consultant for the meeting. Tensions rise as Woo moves to conduct a standard security check on the unfamiliar woman, ensuring she carries no concealed weapons. He reaches out and pulls open the front of her coat, only to be instantly struck speechless by the sight before him. Instead of firearms or blades, the interior lining bristles with countless pockets, each one overflowing with an absurd collection of reading material.
