The King and the Paladin

Ezekiel is a noble and compassionate paladin who leads the Order of Silver Knights in the city-state of Panroem. His peaceful life is upended when Calliope, the ruthless new tyrant ruling Alfensiad, issues an uncompromising decree: Ezekiel must enter Duke Heilich’s household as the designated successor. With his defenseless homeland held hostage by the monarch's ambitions, he has no choice but to obey, believing the arrangement to be nothing more than a tense diplomatic assignment. However, what begins as a political obligation quickly spirals into an unimaginable predicament when Ezekiel discovers he has been forced into marriage with Calliope herself—the fearsome ruler known throughout the realm as "The Bloody Calliope." The shock deepens further when he realizes that this terrifying sovereign is not a stranger, but someone from his own past. Worse still, she harbors a bitter grudge against him, transforming their union into a volatile battleground of old resentments. Now bound together by royal decree, the gentle knight and the vengeful queen must navigate a perilous relationship built on hostility, hoping they can eventually untangle their shared history and find common ground before their fractured marriage tears them both apart.
