On a crisp autumn evening, a lonely third-year university student encounters a peculiar figure at a mysterious ramen stall hidden behind Shimogamo Shrine. The stranger, whose head resembles an eggplant, introduces himself as a deity of matrimony. This surreal meeting forces the student to reflect on his wasted college years—two bitter years spent alongside his sole companion, Ozu, a sinister-looking peer seemingly dedicated to ruining his happiness. Together, they devoted their time to sabotaging the romances of other couples across campus rather than building anything meaningful for themselves. Determined to salvage what remains of his youth, the student resolves to change his ways and attempts to ask out Akashi, an aloof yet genuinely kind-hearted underclassman. However, his courage falters, and he fails to follow through. Overwhelmed by regret, he wishes he had chosen a different path from the very start. In that fleeting moment of longing, reality fractures around him. He is suddenly hurled backward through time and space, landing once again at the beginning of his university life. Armed with the memories of his failures, he is granted an extraordinary opportunity to rewrite his story and finally pursue the vibrant, fulfilling college experience he always desired.
