Hyakuma no Aruji

Merea is unexpectedly summoned to the Sacred Mountain of Lindholm, a mystical realm where spirits gather after death. His arrival is made possible by an Otherworldly Grass that somehow crossed the boundaries between dimensions and found its way into his world. The purpose behind this summoning is deeply specific: he has been called upon to dispel the lingering attachments and unresolved regrets of a group of heroic spirits from another world who remain bound to this sacred place. Raised and trained with the singular expectation that he would become a hero capable of easing such spiritual burdens, Merea was prepared for a noble destiny. However, the harsh realities and shifting tides of his era ultimately twisted his intended path. Instead of fulfilling his role as a savior destined to bring peace to restless souls, the circumstances of his world forged him into something entirely different—a demon lord. Now caught between his original upbringing and the dark mantle he has assumed, Merea must navigate the expectations placed upon him by the dead while grappling with the unexpected identity the living world forced him to embrace.
