Okami is a divine entity who assumes the shape of a majestic beast, traveling across the lands to bestow sacred blessings upon the regions he visits. Deep within a remote mountain village where this ancient tradition endures, the community suffers under the harsh burden of a perpetual, unyielding snowfall that grips the land throughout the entire year. Desperate to lift the endless winter, the residents become convinced that this persistent calamity stems from a failure to provide adequate offerings to the Okami. In an extreme measure to appease their deity, the villagers resolve to present a young slave boy as a human sacrifice to the beast. This poignant master-servant fantasy chronicles the unfolding destinies of the boy and the beast as their paths intertwine.
