After death, a hellish cohabitation life begins for Saginomiya Raku, a con artist who met his untimely demise in an accident. In this afterlife, Raku unexpectedly reunites with his high school classmate, Gotokuji Manabu, who has been waiting for him in hell. Manabu's admiration for Raku had driven him to work hard, but Raku's perspective on their relationship is far more complicated. He sees Manabu as the person who caused his life to spiral out of control. Despite this, Manabu is overjoyed to be reunited with Raku and declares that he will not let their new life together be perceived as punishment. As a result of Raku's past misdeeds, he is forced to live with Manabu in a hellish apartment, where Raku desperately wants to escape as soon as possible. However, Manabu's enthusiasm and determination to make the most of their situation pose a significant obstacle to Raku's plans.
