Wada Tsumi

In a desolate, post-apocalyptic world where the oceans have risen to swallow nearly everything, humanity's remnants are scarce. Wadatsumi is a young boy who survives on what he firmly believes to be the very last fragment of dry land left on Earth. Isolated and alone, he has resigned himself to the idea that the endless waters surrounding his tiny refuge stretch out forever without end, leaving him as the final witness to a drowned planet. His solitary existence is abruptly shattered when the ocean delivers an impossible surprise. Carried in by the relentless waves, a mysterious girl washes ashore on his isolated piece of earth. Her sudden appearance defies everything Wadatsumi thought he knew about his ruined world. He is left grappling with urgent questions: Where did she come from, and how did she survive the treacherous seas? Most importantly, her arrival suggests a staggering possibility—that beyond the horizon, other patches of land might still exist, and he may not be as alone as he once believed.
