Houchounin Ajihei

Ajihei was raised in the shadow of a culinary master. His father, an expert traditional chef, dedicated his life to the refined art of classic cuisine, naturally expecting his son to follow the same prestigious path. However, Ajihei harbors a radically different vision for his own future, one that defies the strict conventions of his family's heritage and challenges everything his father stands for. To the absolute shock of his father, Ajihei deliberately turns his back on high-end traditional cooking and instead takes a position at a fast food restaurant. This unexpected career choice sparks deep tension between the two, as it appears to reject the esteemed culinary legacy he was born into. Yet, Ajihei’s decision is not born out of disrespect or laziness, but rather from a profound personal ambition that redefines what it means to be a great cook. Rather than pursuing exclusive dishes reserved for the elite, Ajihei sets his sights on a far more accessible goal. He is determined to become the absolute best at crafting inexpensive, delicious meals designed specifically for the masses. Through his work in the fast-paced world of quick-service dining, he strives to prove that extraordinary flavor does not require a lavish budget, forging his own unique identity in the culinary world.
