Bonten no Morito

Long ago, humanity and demons were locked in a brutal war that necessitated the rise of specialized warriors to defend mankind. Though a peace treaty has since been established between the two races, human fighters are still required to uphold the accord by protecting demons from their own predatory kind. This unenviable duty falls upon the Yosogi family, whose heir, Akira, seems ill-suited for the role; he struggles to even hold his ground against his older sister. Nevertheless, because Akira alone possesses the ability to sense demonic presences, he is destined to become the next Demon Defender. Complicating matters further, his grandfather has taken in a timid girl named Matsuri, and Akira receives a prophetic dream warning him that he must protect her at all costs.
