This collection compiles one-shot works published between 2007 and 2008 across several magazines, alongside the pilot chapter for *Nisekoi*. In *Williams* (2007, Weekly Shonen Jump), young William idolizes Aradoff, the hero of a popular adventure novel, and constantly dreams of embarking on a grand quest of his own. His encounter with the novel's author finally sets him on an adventure meant to prove that the story is not merely fiction. *Personant* (2008, Jump SQ) takes place in the year 3333, where everyone wears personants—technologically advanced masks designed to eliminate individual differences, thereby preventing discrimination and ensuring peace. A century has passed since the government implemented this system, and society has grown fully accustomed to it. Yet one man exists as the only person in the world without a personant: the wanted criminal Damore. *Apple* (2008, Young Magazine) features Aramiya Satoshi, a blond man with a ponytail, whose primary ability is shape-shifting into any animal—and later, any plant, effectively allowing him to transform into any living organism. Whether this power is innate or the result of a biological experiment remains unclear. Laid-back and reclusive, he simply wants to be left alone to enjoy his solitary life in the middle of a scrapyard, but various military forces continually pursue him because of his abilities. Fortunately, he is more than capable of fending off entire tank battalions with ease. Finally, the collection includes the *Nisekoi* pilot chapter, which appeared in *Jump Next!* in 2011.
