El Hazard - The Magnificent World

Good-natured Makoto Mizuhara is well-liked by everyone—a fact that his arrogant class president, Jinnai, simply cannot tolerate. However, their rivalry becomes irrelevant when Makoto encounters a mysterious woman beneath Shinonome High School and is suddenly transported to the bizarre world of El-Hazard. He is not alone; Jinnai, his sister Nanami, and their teacher Masamichi Fujisawa are pulled along as well. While Makoto and his companions forge alliances with the royal family of Roshtaria and the priestesses of Muldoon, Jinnai casts his lot with the seductive Deva, queen of the insectoid Bugrom Empire. The newcomers soon discover that the strange environment has awakened unusual supernatural abilities within each of them. As the kingdom of Roshtaria and all of El-Hazard hang in the balance, three rival factions race to claim control over the most fearsome weapon ever devised—the Demon-Goddess Ifurita.
