Monkey Magic

Born from cosmic fire, Kongo—a stone monkey brought to life by magic—emerges into the world driven by an insatiable thirst for knowledge and an unyielding ambition for greatness. Abandoning his surrogate family on Flower Fruit Mountain, he ventures forth in pursuit of ancient teachings and esoteric wisdom. Yet mere study is not enough; Kongo soon masters the mystical Jet Cloud, the first of his legendary armaments. Commanding this celestial vehicle grants him dominion over the skies, and he returns to his adopted homeland just as human interlopers lay claim to the monkeys' sacred territory. Armed with the Jet Cloud and his newly acquired sorcery, Kongo vanquishes the invaders and crowns himself King of Flower Fruit Mountain. Above, however, the Celestial Heavens stir with unease. A mere monkey defeating humans and assuming royalty is an affront that cannot stand. Determined to humble him, the gods resolve to strike—unleashing their wrath upon Kongo and every monkey dwelling on Flower Fruit Mountain.
