No. 6

In the year 2013, the story unfolds within the confines of No. 6, a meticulously designed utopian city of the future. Raised from the age of two as a model citizen of the highest elite class, a boy named Shion resides in the city's privileged sector. On the night of his twelfth birthday, his life takes an unforeseen turn when he offers shelter to a fugitive boy who calls himself Nezumi—"Rat"—an escapee from the city's heavily guarded Special Security Area. This single act of compassion sets Shion on an irrevocable path, forever altering the course of his existence.
