Munto

The flow of akuto—the fundamental energy that sustains all existence—is dwindling. In response, the Heavens, a realm of floating islands suspended beyond time and space above the human world, have united in opposition to the Magical Kingdom, the faction that consumes the most energy. To rescue both the Magical Kingdom and the Heavens from collapse, and to restore the depleted akuto current, the Magical King Munto must follow a prophetic vision and locate a young girl named Yumemi in the world below. Though seemingly ordinary in every other way, Yumemi is unique in that she alone can perceive the celestial islands drifting overhead. When Munto suddenly appears before her, she is compelled to confront her own place in the world and the weight of responsibility that she—and everyone—bears for its fate.
