In a world where population decline has turned human corpses into a vital labor resource, necromancers are essential for reanimating the dead to fulfill a wide range of menial and hazardous jobs. These animated cadavers perform with unwavering reliability—until they are exposed to human love, which triggers a violent rampage. Zen, the necromancer assigned to his city, spends his days both raising the dead and cleaning up the bloody chaos left behind whenever a case of so-called "necrophilia" sends a corpse into a frenzy.
