The slice-of-life narrative follows newborn Yumeko Okiura, alongside her mother, Ayumi, and her aunt, Kaname. Together, Ayumi and Kaname navigate the everyday challenges of infant care—from frequent diaper changes to being jolted awake at all hours of the night. The mounting pressure of tending to a baby also strains their bond, creating friction between them. Both young women are eighteen years old, and the story periodically flashes back to their shared days in high school.
