After relocating to the peaceful village of Hinamizawa, Maebara Keiichi passes his days in carefree contentment, often spending his school hours playing games with his new local friends. One fateful day, Keiichi accidentally comes across reports of a murder that took place in Hinamizawa, and from that moment on, a harrowing chain of events begins to unravel before him. As the nightmare deepens, he starts to suspect that his closest companions may be hiding sinister sides he never imagined. Originating from the amateur mystery game created by 7th Expansion, the narrative is presented across a succession of distinct arcs. *Meakashi*—the fifth installment in the manga series adapting these varied storylines—also serves as the first scenario specifically designed to resolve enigmas posed by earlier arcs. It revisits events that appear nearly identical to those of *Watanagashi-hen*, yet this time, the entire tale is recounted through the perspective of Shion Sonozaki.
