Sho had a deep passion for mountain biking, and he spent most of his time training at a course called X-Zone alongside his friends Takumi and Makoto. Takumi was a skilled mechanic, while Makoto was a fiercely competitive female rider. One day, Sho received a challenge from the Shark Tooth team, led by the Samejima brothers, who put the X-Zone itself at stake. For Sho, the X-Zone held deep sentimental value—it was the place where he had spent countless days with his late father, and losing it was not an option. On the day of the race, as Sho competed against Shark Tooth's leader, a dense black smoke suddenly enveloped the area, transporting them both to an unfamiliar world. Upon regaining consciousness, Sho discovered that Kakeru, Makoto, and his own bike, Flame Caesar, had been brought along as well. While they were still trying to make sense of the situation, a group of local MTB riders appeared and challenged Sho to a race. They explained that in order to find a way home, he would need to collect ten emblem pieces by winning a series of mountain bike bouts known as the Idaten Battle. Thus began Sho's journey through a variety of treacherous courses—ranging from volcanoes and ruins to deserts, snowy mountains, and graveyards—all in pursuit of victory. The question remains: will he emerge triumphant and return to his own world?
