Ann Cassandra

Bekku Nanaki possesses the ability to see the future through mirrors. Hoping to escape the disasters she constantly foresees, she moves from the countryside to Tokyo. Shortly after arriving, she witnesses a traffic accident caused by a traveling fish vendor, who then saves her when a falling billboard nearly crushes her. The following day, she discovers that her rescuer is Banjou Kizaki—a classmate who has been held back due to a string of incidents and misfortunes that others blame on his bad luck. Yet his peculiar, eccentric behavior intrigues her, and he explains it as his own method of altering the future.
