A gifted actress awakens within a shy middle school girl. When four new students—Hikaru Suzuki, Sayaka Hoshino, Chihiro Ito, and Shinobu Suzuki—enter the same school, their lives begin to intertwine. Sayaka is a quiet girl with a secret passion for acting. Hikaru is a spirited boy devoted to basketball. He coincidentally shares a first name with Shinobu, a wealthy and popular student whose flawless exterior hides a sour disposition. Chihiro, Hikaru’s childhood friend, has long harbored feelings for him. On the day of the opening ceremony, Hikaru happens upon Sayaka rehearsing lines from a drama on the rooftop and is immediately captivated. Watching Hikaru grow close to Sayaka, Chihiro feels a sharp ache in her chest. Shinobu, witnessing this, is stirred by an unfamiliar emotion and finds his heart racing. Unaware of what has been set in motion, these four step into the opening chapter of a magnificent love story that will unfold over the years to come.
