Aka to Kuro no Kairitsu

This collection of World War II short stories features "Red and Black Commandments: Original Sin." Rolf, the son of an idealistic father, initially felt no personal devotion to the Führer or his country; it was solely his father’s pressure that drove him to serve and sacrifice for Germany. Everything changed one fleeting afternoon when an SS officer addressed him by name: Heinz Schumann. In that moment, Rolf realized that what he had been missing all along was love. He worked tirelessly to rise through the ranks until he stood side by side with the man who had awakened his dormant emotions. Now a lieutenant serving alongside Major Heinz Schumann, Rolf discovers that the major watches him just as intently. As stolen glances and hidden looks begin to carry deeper meaning, both men must confront the dangerous implications of their unspoken bond. If their feelings are discovered, will they choose to die together, or will their love become the very cause of their destruction?
