During high school, Sadashima fell for her handsome upperclassman but lacked the courage to confess before he graduated and moved away. Determined not to miss her chance a second time, she follows him to Tokyo after her own graduation and secures an apartment right next to his. Convinced that fate has finally aligned, she eagerly prepares to knock on his door under the pretense of a coincidental neighborly greeting. However, her plans are thrown into disarray when a woman answers the door. To her utter shock, she discovers that this woman is actually Shirahai, who has undergone gender transition.
