Fuujin Monogatari

Nao, an eighth-grader and the manager of the Digital Camera Club, is one of only two members in the group. Her photography habits remain a mystery to her peers, as she captures nothing but images of the sky and clouds. One day, while shooting from her usual rooftop spot, she encounters a peculiar cat capable of manipulating the wind. Startled by this strange creature, Nao loses her balance and falls from the roof. The club’s other member is Miki, Nao’s best friend. Their circle expands to include Mr. Taiki, the teacher who instructed the cat in wind manipulation; Ryoko, a girl harboring a deep crush on Mr. Taiki; Jun, who assists Nao and Miki in their search for the flying feline; and Yukio, the widow of Mr. Taiki’s late brother. On the outskirts of the city lies a town inhabited by "Wind Handlers," where a mysterious Wind Festival is poised to begin.
