Hiroshi Shiba, a professional car racer, suffers a mortal wound during an accident at a research laboratory. He is brought back from the brink of death by his father, Professor Shiba—a brilliant scientist and archaeologist who is concurrently investigating relics from the ancient Yamatai Kingdom. During his research, the professor uncovers a small bronze bell imbued with mystical powers. Soon after this discovery, he is slain by agents acting under orders from Queen Himika, the sovereign of the Yamatai realm, who seeks to claim the ancient artifact and its formidable abilities for herself.
