"Let me show you the ugly truth of the man who played the perfect prince just to have you." Mai, the protagonist, has been reincarnated into the world of an otome game as the heroine, Sophia. She eventually reaches the confession event with Prince Albert, a character she had previously only seen through her device's screen. Although her heart races at his declaration of love, she is consumed by guilt, knowing that Al's affections are for Sophia rather than her true self. Consequently, Mai rejects his confession and reveals that she is not actually Sophia. For a brief moment, it appears Al has accepted her explanation. However, he suddenly pins her against the wall.
