Summary

Official Details

Born in 1980, Kenji grew up during an era when Japan was racing toward the future. Amid rapid economic expansion, Japanese children witnessed a vibrant array of cultural movements, some of which have since faded while others endure. The manga 20th Century Boys is rooted in this dynamic chaos. Kentaro Takekuma, born in the same year as Kenji, reexamines the culture of that period, offering an essential guide to understanding the historical and social backdrop of 20th Century Boys.
