HE∀DS

Jun Naruse is a shy, unremarkable employee at an electronics company whose true passion lies in drawing. His life takes a romantic turn when he meets Megumi at an art supply store, and the two soon develop a close relationship. However, tragedy strikes a year later when his office is attacked; Jun instinctively shields a young girl from gunfire, sustaining catastrophic injuries in the process. After remaining unconscious for a month, Jun awakens to learn that half of his brain was destroyed and that he survived only thanks to a partial brain transplant. Although his physical recovery is swift and he initially appears to be doing well, he gradually begins to experience unsettling changes in his personality. He is left to wonder whether this transformation stems from the donor’s neural tissue or is merely a side effect of his medication.
