Dan-bi is the daughter of a yakuza patriarch. Her mother sends the wounded girl to Korea, where she undergoes an eye transplant. From that moment on, Dan-bi is determined to live quietly, stay out of trouble, and follow her aunt’s rules. She does her best to navigate life under her aunt’s roof, caught between a boy-crazy cousin and her other cousin, the local school bully. Complicating matters further, her aunt’s adopted son turns out to be connected to the mysterious boy who once watched over Dan-bi in the hospital—a sorrowful young man who, on one unforgettable occasion, asked for permission to kiss her eyes.
