Summary

Official Details

In a distant future, humanity’s war with the Gamilon has brought Earth to the brink of ruin. Continuous bombardment by radioactive asteroids has left the planet's atmosphere lethal to all life. In response, Queen Starsha of Iscandar extends a lifeline to the Earth Forces: a device capable of completely neutralizing the planet's radiation. To retrieve it, the space battleship Yamato is launched from the submerged wreck of its World War II namesake, embarking on a perilous 148,000-light-year voyage. Yet time is brutally short—the crew has just one Earth year to reach Iscandar and return, or the human race will be lost forever.
