For as long as she can remember, Akira Tsubakiya has been told she looks like a boy due to her exceptional height, flat chest, and complete lack of conventional femininity. During middle school, she grew close to a boy from her cram school named Haru, and together they promised to strive for admission into the same prestigious high school. When Haru mentioned that his type is girls with long hair, Akira—having developed feelings for him—began growing hers out. Upon graduating from middle school, Akira resolves to confess her love, only to have her hopes shattered when she discovers Haru already has a girlfriend who is adorable, feminine, and boasts long hair.
