Yuukyuu no Kanata

This anthology features a collection of short stories, headlined by the titular tale, "Yuukyuu no Kanata." The story centers on twin brothers Yuki and Hisakuni, and their childhood friend Kanata. Having suffered abuse at the hands of his father, Kanata has been living with the twins and their grandmother. While the three have always shared a close bond, a tragic accident changes everything: Hisakuni loses sight in one eye, and in the aftermath, Yuki and Kanata become lovers. Hisakuni attempts to conceal his own feelings for Kanata, watching over the new couple from afar, but he cannot ignore the growing distance between them. As Yuki’s love for Kanata intensifies to an overwhelming degree, tensions rise. When Hisakuni finally presses Kanata for the truth about the accident that cost him his eye, Kanata recoils and flees. With a truck bearing down on Kanata, both brothers rush to save him, leaving their tangled fate hanging in the balance. The collection also includes "Yunatama," a boys' love reinterpretation of The Little Mermaid. French Orion washes ashore on a small Japanese island with no memories other than his name. He is taken in by Tooya, a handsome teenager, and finds himself in no hurry to leave, even as the mystery of his arrival remains unsolved.
