Set against the backdrop of the Southern Song Dynasty and utilizing the character relationships from The Legend of the Condor Heroes, this narrative is primarily grounded in authentic history with adjusted historical trajectories. A modern soul transmigrates into the body of Guo Jing, immediately facing the crushing weight of historical reality. It is the eleventh year of Jiading: Shi Miyuan dominates the Song court, the Jin Empire is rotting toward collapse, and a new hegemon is rising from the bloodshed of the grasslands. The great heroes Yue Fei and Xin Qiji have long passed, their ambitions unfulfilled. With a restless heart, Guo Jing rides south to honor his ancestors.
