Summary

Raw Details
Set against the backdrop of the Southern Song Dynasty and utilizing the character relationships from The Legend of the Condor Heroes, this narrative is primarily grounded in authentic history with adjusted historical trajectories. A modern soul transmigrates into the body of Guo Jing, immediately facing the crushing weight of historical reality. It is the eleventh year of Jiading: Shi Miyuan dominates the Song court, the Jin Empire is rotting toward collapse, and a new hegemon is rising from the bloodshed of the grasslands. The great heroes Yue Fei and Xin Qiji have long passed, their ambitions unfulfilled. With a restless heart, Guo Jing rides south to honor his ancestors. In this pivotal year, he meets the grandson of Yue Fei, visits old friends of Xin Qiji, ascends Beigu Pavilion, inherits the legacy of his forebears, and swears to avenge the shame of Jingkang. Having mastered the martial arts at eighteen, he takes up his halberd to quell the chaos of war. He captures dragons in the south and waters his horses at the northern seas. Wielding a halberd and sword as tall as himself, he conquers all lands north of the Great River until they bear the name Guo. Clad in a red robe, he enters Kaifeng, and the people whisper that Emperor Taizu of Later Zhou has returned. One day, Master Huang and Chief Hong approach together, draping a magnificent yellow imperial robe over Guo Jing’s shoulders. A hero saves individuals, but an emperor saves the world. The Zhao ancestors seized the Guo family’s realm through the Chenqiao Mutiny, leading to the disgrace of Jingkang and the devastation of the Central Plains. Now, Guo Jing has come to destroy the Jin, restore the Zhou dynasty, reunify the Southern Song, and raise the banner of the Han people once more. The cycle of heaven is destiny; the Zhao Song are incompetent, and the House of Zhou shall rise.
