In a world where ARMs, or Arms, are a common sight, young Kai's idolization of Ginta, a legendary Guardian, has not wavered since his heroic battle six years ago. Despite not possessing an ARM himself, Kai's dreams of obtaining an ARM like Ginta's remain strong. On an errand for his caretaker, an old ARM-smith, Kai is ambushed by a bandit from the "chess" faction. In the chaos, he encounters Babbo, a mysterious figure whose awakening has caused chaos among the fake ARMs. As the situation spirals out of control, Kai finds himself thrust into a new role: saving MAR Heaven, just like his hero Ginta before him.
