In the aftermath of Nobunaga's downfall, the far reaches of Kyushuu are plagued by civil unrest. Amidst the turmoil, the Harima family, a small clan, rules over their precinct with 15-year-old Harunobu at the helm. Despite his family's expectations, Harunobu has no interest in warfare or leadership, instead dedicating himself to cartography and documenting the natural world. His ultimate goal is to create a comprehensive encyclopedia that catalogues all knowledge in the world.
