In the kingdom of Xoana, Lina Inverse and Gourry Gabriev are reunited with their old companions, Zelgadis Graywords and Princess Amelia Wil Tesla Saillune. Together, they easily foil the King of Xoana and his daughter's plans for world conquest. Zelgadis, seeking to recover his human body, hopes to find the secrets of the Claire Bible, a powerful magical tome. Despite his protests, the group decides to join him on his quest, and they soon encounter a mysterious priest named Xellos, who may offer assistance in their search for the legendary book.
