This anime is a modern retelling of the classic tale by Alexandre Dumas, The Count of Monte Cristo. It follows the story of Albert Morcerf, a young nobleman who forms an unlikely friendship with the enigmatic and wealthy Count of Monte Cristo. Intrigued by the Count's charismatic personality, Albert invites him to meet his friends and family, a group of high society individuals living in Paris, France.
