Civilization has long since crumbled, leaving behind nothing but vast, silent ruins stretching to the horizon. Amid this desolate world, two young girls, Chito and Yuuri, continue their journey atop a small Kettenkrad motorbike, navigating the crumbling remains of a forgotten era. With no grand destination in mind, their days are consumed by an endless search for the essentials: drinkable water, scraps of food, and fuel to keep their vehicle moving. Their existence is a constant negotiation with scarcity, yet survival is never just about material needs—it is the small, shared moments that define their lives. Whether they are savoring a simple bowl of hot soup, scavenging through debris for useful machine parts, or taking shelter from the cold, the bond between Chito and Yuuri remains steadfast. Their conversations and quiet companionship cast a soft glow over an otherwise grim reality, reminding them that purpose can be found even in a world stripped of meaning. Together, they press forward, their resilience and friendship offering a poignant testament to the human spirit in the face of absolute emptiness. - Won the Seiun Award for Best Comic in 2019
