Primordial Era: I, the Spiritual Stone Monkey, was born ahead of schedule to seize the throne.

Shen Qitian transmigrates into the primordial world as the Spiritual Stone Monkey, fully resigned to enduring the tribulations that destiny has in store for the famous monkey of Journey to the West. Before that fate can arrive, however, everything changes: Hongjun unexpectedly attains sainthood, and the coveted holy seats of the Dao are suddenly within reach. Boldest of all is Shen Qitian, who immediately stakes his claim to one of the sacred positions. The Daoist Ancestor coolly reminds him that beneath him there shall be seven sages, distinguished by merit rather than rank—and asks what merit Shen Qitian actually possesses. With no great deeds to his name, Shen Qitian shamelessly offers the only thing he has: sheer power. To his delight, the Dao Ancestor actually agrees, and the throne becomes his. Yet winning the seat proves far easier than holding it. More than two thousand mighty beings from the primordial era soon bear down on him, each determined to seize his holy throne for themselves. Outnumbered beyond hope, Shen Qitian takes a deep breath, channels the full force of his magical power, and bellows one desperate plea: "Dao Ancestor, save me!"
