This cultivation world was never serious from the start.

Everyone swears the cultivation world used to be a serious place, and they lay the blame squarely on Su Zhe's shoulders. Su Zhe, however, refuses to take the fall: this world was never serious from the very start. After all, he—a dignified transmigrator, no less—was dispatched to infiltrate the Demonic Sect, only to be asked the moment he arrived whether his surname happened to be Ye, Chu, Xiao, Shi, or Lin. The absurdities hardly stop there. An old man shows up to take the entrance test wearing a diaper, flops onto the ground and howls away before the first drop of rain has even fallen—then is informed, with a perfectly straight face, that he possesses a top-grade water spirit root. A newly initiated sword cultivator slings a wooden sword over his shoulder, hums the nursery rhyme his mother taught him, and marches straight off to challenge the leader of the righteous path. That leader's own younger brother, punished to reflect at the gates over some mistake, is snatched away in less than a quarter of an hour—by the Demonic Empress herself, who whisks him off to become the head of the demonic path. A serious cultivation world? Su Zhe would sincerely like to know where exactly anyone got that idea.
