The Frontier Lord Begins with Zero Subjects

After decades spent on the front lines, soldier Dias finally lays down his sword and returns home. He is greeted not as a weary veteran, but as a celebrated hero—a title that earns him the grand reward of his very own feudal domain. Yet the honor quickly sours when he arrives to claim his prize: nothing but endless, windswept grasslands stretching to the horizon, devoid of a single soul. With a population of zero and no infrastructure to speak of, Dias, a man who has known only the brutal calculus of warfare, finds himself utterly adrift. The skills that made him a legend on the battlefield offer little guidance for the quiet, daunting task of building a civilization from nothing. As he grapples with the crushing silence of his new home, Dias struggles to envision a future beyond the empty plains. How does one cultivate prosperity when the very ground seems to offer only grass? Just as despair begins to set in, a chance encounter changes everything. A young horned girl named Alna appears, carrying secrets that the barren landscape has long kept hidden. Her knowledge of the plains runs deeper than the soil itself, and she is poised to reveal that this forgotten territory holds far more potential than Dias ever imagined—if only he is willing to learn a new kind of survival.
