Guan Yu, I Really Don't Want to Control You!

In the twenty-fourth year of Jian'an, Lü Meng crosses the river in white boats, betraying the alliance. The Martial Sage, Guan Yu, is defeated and retreats to Maicheng. "I am but a common warrior from Jieliang. My lord treated me as a brother, and our oath in the Peach Garden has bound us for over thirty years—as close as flesh and blood, never once doubting each other." "The Prince of Hanzhong entrusted me with a great charge—a duty heavier than the mountains. Even if my bones are ground to dust, I must defend the lands of Jing and Chu!" As Wu's pursuers close in, Guan Yu's body suddenly freezes, immobile. Yet a whisper echoes in his ear: "Restore the Han dynasty—cut through these vermin!" Someone is controlling his body to fight! Thus begins the counteroffensive on Jingzhou—a single blade extinguishing Wu, a lone rider vanquishing Wei. The sun and moon shine anew upon a united realm, and the mountains and rivers once again follow the rightful calendar. Liu Bei: "You need not answer if you do not wish to, General. I only ask—where is my second brother of the Peach Garden oath?" Zhang Fei: "Whether you are a god or a ghost, give me back my second brother!" Qi Ye is a small-time game streamer. He receives a mysterious package containing a beta test for Divine Journey through the Three Kingdoms, a game built around the core experience of "one warrior, a thousand foes." At character selection, he chooses Guan Yu.
