I Am a Hero in NAGASAKI

Expanding the harrowing universe of the acclaimed zombie saga *I Am a Hero*, this standalone spin-off relocates the relentless apocalypse to the historic port city of Nagasaki. While the original series charted a frantic path through Tokyo's sprawling chaos, this new chapter trades the metropolis for a landscape defined by steep hills, winding alleyways, and a haunting coastal beauty that becomes a treacherous labyrinth when the infected rise. The city's unique topography—its slopes and harbors—transforms the familiar outbreak into a claustrophobic siege, where echoes of the past mingle with the groans of the present. In Nagasaki, the same grim rules apply: the infected retain vestiges of their former lives, their routines turned into macabre parodies, and a single bite seals one's fate. Yet here, survival takes on a different texture. Cut off from the mainland's larger pockets of resistance, the scattered remnants of the city's populace must navigate not only the shambling hordes but also the fragile alliances and desperate choices that arise when civilization crumbles. Against a backdrop of abandoned streetcars and silent memorials, the story delves into the resilience of ordinary people caught in an extraordinary nightmare. It is a visceral, atmospheric tale that stands on its own while honoring the brutal, emotional core of its predecessor—a testament to the enduring human spirit in the face of utter devastation.
