Humanity's War on Heaven: I Open My Eyes Beyond the Heavenly Dao

Branded a hopeless cripple by all who know him, Ji Chen harbors a secret no one else can fathom: the Heavenly Dao holds no authority over him. Blessed with a pair of mystical eyes, he alone can read the ancient stele inscriptions, shamanic curse scripts, and sacrificial texts long since corrupted by the divine cult—writings that have remained indecipherable to every other soul in this world. His cultivation does not rely on spirit roots; instead, he hones the essence of human will, walking the Path of the Human Sovereign—a way that exists entirely outside the celestial order. For three thousand years, humanity has lived under an unbreakable curse: at the peak of Nascent Soul cultivation, the lightning tribulation guarantees death, for no mortal may ever ascend to godhood. But Ji Chen's innate gifts and his sovereign path lie beyond Heaven's jurisdiction. When he stands on the brink of utter despair, the sacred Jianmu tree awakens in his sea of consciousness; in the secret realm of Wu Gorge, a remnant consciousness of the Yellow Emperor transmits lost scriptures to him; and on the fateful night the Ancestral Temple burns, the reigning Son of Heaven immolates himself, entrusting Ji Chen with his final legacy. The Nine Cauldrons remain scattered across the Nine Provinces—and the day he gathers them all, Heaven itself will open its eyes. "Heaven has made men kneel for far too long. In this life, I open my eyes beyond the Heavenly Dao. With the multitudes as my fuel, I shall topple Heaven, rise, and reclaim my throne as the Human Sovereign!"
