Ore wo Suki Nano wa Omae Dake ka yo

To his classmates, Amatsuyu Kisaragi—better known as Jouro—seems like a kind, dependable young man, if a somewhat forgettable one. His best friend Taiyou Ooga, nicknamed Sun-chan, is another story entirely: as the outgoing captain of the baseball team, he effortlessly wins the attention of nearly every girl around. What no one realizes, however, is that Jouro is far more calculating than his mild image suggests, and behind that harmless facade lies a careful schemer. His ambition is twofold: to capture the hearts of both his childhood friend and the student council president, having subtly arranged matters so that each will confess her love to him of her own accord—a flawless harem strategy. But when the two girls corner him into what appears to be a long-awaited confession, everything unravels. Rather than declaring their feelings for him, they reveal that they are both in love with Sun-chan, and they want Jouro's help in pursuing him. As if that betrayal were not enough, the next day he discovers that someone does hold feelings for him after all: a quiet girl named Sumireko Sanshokuin. Unfortunately, she has a thoroughly unpleasant personality and is determined to sabotage his schemes at every turn.
