Sono Hen no Akuta

A great war erupted when extraterrestrial lifeforms known as the Isrian suddenly invaded from space. Humanity fought the invaders for several years, but the end of that long battle was irrelevant. In the war against the Isrian, a young man named Akutoshi was called the “hero of the end.” After being relegated to the Tottori branch, Akutoshi is placed far from the front lines. There, he becomes involved in the easygoing atmosphere of Deputy Captain Hyakufuku and the people around him. The setting is calm, and the daily rhythm is loose. As he spends time in this quiet branch, Akutoshi gradually begins to realize that “spending everyday life” may be the future battle. The young man once hailed as the “hero of the end” must now face the possibility that ordinary days themselves have become the next conflict.
