The Community College Flutist

Lin Di, 22, graduated six months ago with a junior college degree in E-commerce. He has sent out over a hundred résumés, only to hear back about two kinds of jobs: customer-service positions that pay 3,000 yuan with no meals or housing, and live-streaming operations roles that demand endless overtime. Right now, he is barely hanging on in a shabby 1,200-yuan rental in the old city district, and next month's rent is already looking dicey. His one and only skill is playing the bamboo flute—taught by his grandfather since childhood, and practiced for over a decade. He can perform classical pieces like "A Trip to Gusu" and "The Shepherd's Flute" with ease, and he can figure out any pop song after just two listens. He always treated it as a casual hobby to blow off steam when feeling down, but unexpectedly, this simple talent ends up dragging him into the most absurd urban adventures. Pure lighthearted daily-life comedy—no heavy angst, no business warfare, no superpowers. Just relatable, down-to-earth office-worker humor. It is the story of an ordinary guy who accidentally turns his one quirky passion into a surprisingly eventful life.
