Jijo Eiyuuden

Set against the turbulent backdrop of China in the waning years of the Ming dynasty, Jijo Eiyuuden follows Shisanmei, a strikingly beautiful woman who drifts into a lawless territory with no memory of who she is or where she came from. The land she wanders into lies far beyond the reach of imperial authority—a brutal frontier where bandits and outlaws of every kind hold absolute sway. Though her past is a blank, Shisanmei is far from defenseless. Armed with the Swords of the Seven Stars, weapons bestowed upon her as a gift by an old hermit, she undertakes a new journey as the protector of Anji—a resolute young boy whose father has been wrongfully cast into prison, and who is determined to see him freed. As the unlikely pair presses onward through dangerous country, their small company gains an unexpected addition: a mysterious third presence joins the extraordinary band of travelers, adding a new layer of intrigue to their perilous quest.
