After a near-fatal accident, he is nursed back to health by the mysterious Yanagi, a girl with extraordinary healing powers. Unbeknownst to Recca, he is the reincarnation of a legendary ninja from the Hokage Clan, sent to the future to escape a predetermined fate. As the new leader of the Hokage Clan, Recca must confront his own destiny and protect Yanagi from the clutches of his half-brother, Kurei, who seeks to exploit her unique abilities for his own sinister purposes.
