Killing Line

On the eve of her eighteenth birthday, Mako finds herself truly alone. Abandoned by the absent father who was never really there, she is left to navigate a harsh world with no safety net and a growing mountain of bills. When a friend offers a simple solution—a paid dinner date with a wealthy older man, nothing more than conversation and companionship—it feels like a lifeline in the darkness. It seems like the easiest money she'll ever make. But the city at night holds darker secrets. An unassuming dinner date becomes a scene of unimaginable violence when a professional killer crashes the quiet meeting, his cold mission to eliminate the target and erase every witness. In a single, brutal moment, Mako is thrust from the world of everyday struggles into a high-stakes game of survival. Forced to think on her feet, she quickly realizes that her wits and her charm are the only weapons she has against a man who feels nothing. As she fights to outmaneuver a cold-blooded assassin, a dangerous and improbable gamble takes shape: can she connect with a man whose heart is a fortress of ice? In this twisted, thrilling black comedy from the creator of *Searching for My Perfect Brother*, one young woman's desperate bid for a better life becomes a dance with death, where the final price of survival might be her very soul.
